Our eclectic gift range is curated with purpose to provide an AFFORDABLE alternative to mainstream shopping. QUALITY GIFTS, with ethical origins is our focus. We support a number of FAIR TRADE producers from around the globe, we promote EARTH friendly purchasing and Australian made where possible.

The Green House Environment Shop is a small locally owned family business, located in the heart of Cairns FNQ.
This is me, Peta - proud owner of The Green House Environment Shop! I first discovered The Green House as a happy customer - it was (and still is!) my go-to shop for quirky gifts, unique children's toys and the best greeting card selection in Cairns. When my own children started school, I had a little extra time on my hands, so on one Green House visit, I randomly enquired about a casual job .... and now, here I am owning my favourite gift shop and loving every minute of it.
My family have provided love & support and make important contributions to The Green House. My husband Chris is our maintenance manager and all round handy person. He always obliges when I ask for yet another shelf here or an extra hook there! My children help me with social media and product suggestions. Even my parents assist with projects during busy times and stocktakes.
It is a true joy to offer gifts with goodness to the community of Cairns and to be surrounded by calm in this little space called The Green House Environment Shop | Peta xx
conservation and social justice groups
The Green House continues to stay true to our green roots by supporting local conservation groups and social justice causes. We share a portion of our profits each year, and distribute funds from our customer donation tin to local green initiatives.
We collect funds on behalf of various organisations through the sale of fabulous goodies, such as handmade toys, tote bags, stickers, magnets and postcards. 100% of these sales support groups such as:

Tree Roo Rescue & Conservation Centre
Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation
